Humans have a knack of being extremely nosy in everybody’s business, but my travel experience has made me realize that we are hardwired to being even bigger foodies. No matter where you travel, be it some leading city of the world or some small town, everyone is unified by cuisine!

As I have mentioned in my previous post (Food: A Conversation ‘Starter’?), food is a great conversation starter and is also a great way to interact with people from cultures other than your own. Being an Indian, I have been always asked as to the kind of dishes we prepare and the recipes of the same. And there comes the tricky part, the explanation. Indian dishes are known to have complex recipes using a lot of ingredients which are not as integral a part of the Western culinary kitchen. Thus starts a friendship, one that is solely based on preparations and recipes. It is almost surreal but then again, our culinary cravings supersede our cultural differences and unify on food, don’t they? Although the preparation styles of the dishes are categorized for the sake of the people making them, when it comes to the final product, it is ultimately FOOD that we savor upon.

Probably we can initiate the same, on this virtual platform by sharing stories that have resulted over culinary initiations. Feel free to share your story.
Let’s FOOD AWAY!
how well you know your cuisine.
